Abstract Background Optimized perioperative care within an enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol is designed to reduce morbidity surgery, resulting in a shorter hospital stay. The present study evaluated this approach the context of sleeve gastrectomy for patients with morbid obesity. Methods Patients were allocated according bariatric ERAS or control group that received standard care. These groups also compared historical who underwent laparoscopic at same institution between 2006...

The fusion excitation function of ${}^{40}\mathrm{Ca}+{}^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$ has been measured from well above the Coulomb barrier, down to low energies where cross section is as small $\ensuremath{\simeq}$20 $\ensuremath{\mu}$b, and astrophysical $S$ factor possibly reaches a maximum vs energy. results coupled-channels calculations using $\mathrm{M}3\mathrm{Y}+\mathrm{repulsion}$ potential are presented. A strong resonancelike structure (\ensuremath{\sim}400 keV wide) has been observed in elastic $^{16}\mathrm{O}$ + $^{12}\mathrm{C}$ scattering. Inelastic scattering excitation functions with the unresolved ${0}^{+}$, ${3}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ states at 6.1 MeV show correlated channel. An analysis of angular distribution measured on resonance indicates a spin $I=14$.
