Although they are the main constituents of Galactic disk population, for half open clusters in Milky Way reported literature nothing is known except raw position and an approximate size. The goal this study to determine a full set uniform spatial, structural, kinematic, astrophysical parameters as many possible. On basis stellar data from PPMXL 2MASS, we used dedicated data-processing pipeline kinematic photometric membership probabilities stars cluster region. For input list 3784 targets...
We present a catalogue of astrophysical data for 520 Galactic open clusters. These are the clusters which at least three most probable members (18 on average) could be identified in ASCC-2.5, stars based Tycho-2 observations from Hipparcos mission. applied homogeneous methods and algorithms to determine angular sizes cluster cores coronae, heliocentric distances, mean proper motions, radial velocities, ages. For first time we derive distances 200 clusters, velocities 94 ages 196 This new...
We present results of a study the galactic open cluster population based on all-sky catalogue ASCC-2.5 (I/280A) compiled from Tycho-2, Hipparcos and other catalogues. The sample optical clusters is complete up to about 850 pc Sun. symmetry plane clusters' distribution determined be at pc, scale height only pc. total surface density volume in are kpc-2 kpc-3, respectively. find number Galactic disk order 105 present. Fluctuations spatial velocity distributions attributed existence four...
We present the 2nd version of Catalogue Radial Velocities with Astrometric Data (CRVAD-2). This is result cross-identification stars from All-Sky Compiled 2.5 Million Stars (ASCC-2.5) General and other recently published radial velocity lists catalogues. The CRVAD-2 includes accurate J2000 equatorial coordinates, proper motions trigonometric parallaxes in Hipparcos system, $B, V$ photometry Johnson spectral types, velocities (RVs), multiplicity variability flags for 54907 ASCC-2.5 stars....
Aims. We build a catalogue PPM-Extended (PPMX) on the ICRS system which is complete down to well-defined limiting magnitude and contains best presently available proper motions suited for kinematic studies in Galaxy.
Aims. On the basis of PPMXL catalogue we perform an all-sky census Hyades down to masses about 0.2 m⊙ in a region up 30 pc from cluster centre.
We present a list of 130 Galactic Open Clusters, found in the All-Sky Compiled Catalogue 2.5 Million Stars (ASCC-2.5). For these clusters we determined and publish homogeneous set astrophysical parameters such as size, membership, motion, distance age. In previous work 520 already known open out sample 1700 from literature were confirmed ASCC-2.5 using independent, objective methods. Using methods whole sky was systematically screened for search new clusters. The newly detected show same...
Aims. On the basis of PPMXL star catalogue we performed a survey clusters in second quadrant Milky Way.
Aims. In this study we determine absolute integrated magnitudes in the J,H,KS passbands for Galactic star clusters from Milky Way Star Clusters survey. wide solar neighbourhood, derive open cluster luminosity function (CLF) different ages.
Context. In a previous paper we obtained King's parameters for 236 of 650 Galactic open clusters identified in the ASCC-2.5.
Aims. In this paper we derive tidal radii and masses of open clusters in the nearest kiloparsecs around Sun.
To investigate statistically whether magnetic fields in massive stars are ubiquitous or appear with specific spectral classification, certain ages, a special environment, we acquired 41 new spectropolarimetric observations for 36 stars. Among the observed sample roughly half of probable members clusters at different whereas remaining field not known to belong any cluster association. Spectropolarimetric were obtained during three nights using low-resolution mode FORS2 (FOcal Reducer low...
Context. An earlier analysis of the Milky Way Star Cluster (MWSC) catalogue revealed an apparent lack old (t ≳ 1 Gyr) open clusters in solar neighbourhood (d ≲ kpc).
(... abridged) The observed luminosity function can be constructed in a range of absolute integrated magnitudes $I_{M_V}= [-10, -0.5]$ mag, i.e. about 5 deeper than the most nearby galaxies. It increases linearly from brightest limit to turnover at $I_{M_V}\approx-2.5$. slope this linear portion is $a=0.41\pm0.01$, which agrees perfectly with deduced for star cluster observations (...) We find that initial mass open clusters (CIMF) has two-segment structure slopes $\alpha=1.66\pm0.14$ $\log...
Context. It is generally agreed upon that stars form in open clusters (OCs) and stellar associations, but little known about structures the Galactic OC population; whether OCs associations are born isolated or if they prefer to groups, for example. Answering this question provides new insight into star cluster formation, along with a better understanding of structures.
An earlier analysis of the Milky Way Star Cluster (MWSC) catalogue revealed an apparent lack old (> 1 Gyr) open clusters in solar neighbourhood (< kpc). To fill this gap we undertook a search for hitherto unknown star clusters, assuming that missing reside at high Galactic latitudes |b|> 20°. We were looking stellar density enhancements using count algorithm on 2MASS point source catalogue. increase contrast between potential and field, applied filters colour-magnitude space...
Abstract We present a catalogue (CSOCA) of stars residing in 520 Galactic open cluster sky areas which is the result kinematic (proper motion) and photometric member selection listed homogeneous All‐sky Compiled Catalogue 2.5Million Stars (ASCC‐2.5).We describe structure contents catalogue, procedure applied, proper motion membership constraints adopted. In every area CSOCA contains complete list ASCC‐2.5 regardless their probability. For star includes accurate J2000 equatorial coordinates,...

Context. The global Milky Way Star Clusters (MWSC) survey provided new cluster membership lists and mean parameters for nearly 80% of all previously known Galactic clusters. MWSC data reduction pipeline involved the catalogue positions proper motions (PPMXL) on International Celestial Reference System (ICRS) near-infrared photometry from Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS).
Open clusters have long been used to gain insights into the structure, composition, and evolution of Galaxy. With large amount stellar data available for many in Gaia era, new techniques must be developed analyzing open clusters, as visual inspection cluster color-magnitude diagrams is no longer feasible. An automatic tool will required analyze samples clusters. We seek develop an isochrone-fitting procedure consistently determine membership fundamental parameters. Our characterization...
The stellar spatial distribution as a function of mass is studied in 11 young open clusters and the presence segregation observed seven these. possibility two cluster centres indicated for NGC 2264. Except Tr 1, conventional relaxation energy equipartition times are larger than ages which may indicate that due to star formation processes. However, dynamical processes being responsible effect some these cannot be completely ruled out. Present analysis suggests older million years might...
<i>Context. <i/>Ellipticities have been determined for only a few tens of open clusters.<i>Aims. <i/>We derive the observed and modelled shape parameters (apparent ellipticity orientation ellipse) 650 Galactic clusters identified in ASCC-2.5 catalogue. <i>Methods. compute with multi-component analysis. Context. Galactic open clusters (OCs) mainly belong to the young stellar population in Milky Way disk, but are there groups and complexes of OCs that possibly define an additional level hierarchical star formation? Current compilations too incomplete address this question, especially regarding radial velocities (RVs) metallicities ([M/H]).
