Zoharite (IMA 2017-049), (Ba,K)6 (Fe,Cu,Ni)25S27, and gmalimite 2019-007), ideally K6□Fe2+24S27, are two new sulfides of the djerfisherite group. They were discovered in an unusual gehlenite–wollastonite paralava with pyrrhotite nodules located Hatrurim pyrometamorphic complex, Negev Desert, Israel. build grained aggregates confined to peripheric parts nodules, where they associate pentlandite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, digenite, covellite, millerite, heazlewoodite, pyrite rudashevskyite....
Southeastern Bulgaria is composed of a variety rocks from pre-Variscan (ca. 0.3 Ga) to pre-Alpine sensu lato 0.15 time. The Sakar Unit in this region comprises series granitoids and gneisses formed or metamorphosed during these events. It cut by post-Variscan hydrothermal veins, yet lacks pervasive Alpine deformation. thus represents key unit for detecting potential tectonism associated with the enigmatic Cimmerian Orogenic episode, but limited geochronology has been undertaken on unit. Here...
The mineral composition and tube ultrastructure of the Middle Upper Jurassic calcareous sabellid Glomerula gordialis (Schlotheim, 1820) from Polish Basin have been assessed. In all cases, tubes studied were found to consist low-Mg calcite, as revealed by Raman spectroscopy supplementary SEM-EDS analyses. is single-layered its has identified a spherulitic prismatic structure (oriented structure), supporting earlier ultrastructural observations sabellids. ambient seawater chemistry largely...
The Hatrurim Basin, Israel, is located on the western border of Dead Sea Transform. This one localities a unique pyrometamorphic complex whose genesis remains problematic. paper deals with zeolite-bearing rock that known in Basin only. strata subjected to zeolitization called “olive unit” and consists anorthite–pyroxene (diopside–esseneite) hornfels. Zeolitization occurred an alkaline environment provided by interaction meteoric water Portland-cement-like rocks Complex. resulting contain...
The chalcocite group minerals are widely distributed among different hydrothermally affected rocks, the oxidized zone of copper sulfide deposits, or may be even crystalline from supersaturated volcanic gases. Some form main Cu orebodies. Djurleite (Cu31S16) is a rare member group, with very complex structure. physical and chemical similarities between all members make them almost unidentifiable by macroscopic microscopic methods. In this study, Ag-bearing djurleite Kupferschiefer Lower...
Abstract This study presents results of SEM and XRD investigation products formed after La-rich bentonite application into water containing PO 4 3- CO 3 2- ions. The main product the investigated reaction with phosphate carbonate anions is rabdophane-(La) lanthanite-(La), respectively. Studied material has adaptation in many reservoirs only for phosphorus ions reduction. Further studies might find case reduction others hazardous They could be precipitated same fast effective way, to other...
Raman microspectroscopy and thermo-optical-transmittance (TOT) method were used to study airborne ambient soot collected at the suburban air monitoring station in southern Poland during residential heating (January-February) non-heating (June–July) seasons of 2017. Carbonaceous material constituted on average 47.2 wt.% PM2.5 season 26.9 season. Average concentrations OC (37.5 ± 11.0 μg/m3) EC (5.3 1.1 significantly higher than those (OC = 2.65 0.78 μg/m3, 0.39 0.18 μg/m3). was a chief...
Abstract In “Stanisław” quarry, that is located on Garby Izerskie, ore minerals-bearing calcsilicate skarns were found in 2009. The samples studied using microscopical method of reflected light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Based SEM study, the predominant minerals investigated are chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, bismuth telluride native bismuth. Moreover, acanthite, gold silver also identified. Our studies first report above mentioned from Izerskie area.
