The clinical and pathologic findings in four patients with salivary duct carcinoma were studied. Salivary carcinomas are a special group of gland tumors that originate within large ducts resemble the breast. These neoplasms disseminate actively may be fatal.

Two patients with primary adenocarcinoma of the middle ear displayed symptoms in affected many years before their condition was diagnosed as adenocarcinoma. Treatment included simple extirpation tumor, radical mastoidectomy or without radiation. A review literature shows 11 cases reported previously. Follow-up for more than four revealed deaths cases— one from causes unrelated to tumor and others showing only local invasion distant metastases. These tumors grow slowly have a low-grade malignancy.
