In cynomolgus monkeys, we compared two human‐derived SIV mac 251 whole virus vaccines, a long vs short immunization schedule, and different challenge viruses. Both vaccines induced protection after with 251/32H. There was no difference between the schedules of immunization. Seven five which were protected following first challenge, reboosted rechallenged monkey‐derived 251, but observed.
