The properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) can be manipulated by the addition nano-montmorillonite (NMMT) clays. This paper presents results an experimental investigation on incorporating small dosages NMMT clays (.25, .50, .75 and 1.00% mass total cementitious material) into SCC. Tests were conducted fresh hardened specimens to measure workability (by slump flow, V-funnel L-box), mechanical compressive splitting tensile strengths), durability (electrical resistivity water penetration)...
In this research, methods of increasing the corrosion resistance reinforced concrete were experimentally investigated. The study used silica fume and fly ash at optimized percentages 10 25% by cement weight, polypropylene fibers a ratio 2.5% volume concrete, commercial inhibitor, 2-dimethylaminoethanol (Ferrogard 901), 3% weight. three types reinforcements, mild steel (STt37), AISI 304 stainless steel, 316 was effects various coatings, including hot-dip galvanizing, alkyd-based primer,...
In this study, the effect of protection methods regarding corrosion decrement steel in concrete was simulated by artificial neural networks (ANNs) and fuzzy logic (FL) approaches. Hot dip galvanizing as a protective coating, Ferrogard 901 inhibitor, pozzolanic component, such fly ash (FA) micro-silica (MS), eventually rebar AISI-304 were employed concrete. Reinforced samples held under impressed voltage 30 V 3.5 % NaCl electrolyte for 350 hours toward stainless-steel auxiliary electrode....
