Binding of lead (Pb) to soil fulvic acid (JGFA), humic acids (JGHA, JLHA), and lignite-based (PAHA) was investigated through binding isotherms XAFS. Pb substances (HS) increased with increasing pH decreasing ionic strength. The NICA-Donnan model described the HS satisfactorily. comparison parameters showed substantial differences in median affinity constants among JGFA, PAHA, HAs. Milne's "generic" did not provide an adequate prediction for samples. generic HAs improved significantly by...

The poor stability of micellar drug delivery systems in vivo due to large volume dilution and interactions with blood pool often leads premature release low targetability therapeutic efficacy. Here, we designed folate-conjugated interfacially crosslinked biodegradable micelles consisting poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(acryloyl carbonate)-b-poly(D,L-lactide) (PEG-PAC-PLA) folate-PEG-PLA (FA-PEG-PLA) block copolymers for receptor-mediated paclitaxel (PTX) into KB cells. Micelles varying amounts...

Abstract Rhizobacteria play an important role in bridging the soil and plant microbiomes improving health growth of plants. In this study, bacterial community structures compositions rhizosphere associated with six species, representing two orders three families wild plants grown same field, were evaluated. The species examined harbored a core similar communities microbiome, which was dominated by members Rhizobiales, Sphingomonadales, Burkholderiales, Xanthomonadales Proteobacteria,...

The effect of adsorbed soil fulvic (JGFA) and humic acid (JGHA) on Pb binding to goethite was studied with the ligand charge distribution (LCD) model X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy analysis. In LCD model, small JGFA particles were evenly located in Stern layer, but large JGHA distributed over layer diffuse which mainly depended diameter concentrations. Specific interactions substances (HS) modeled by inner-sphere complexes between −FeOH20.5+ −COO– HS bridges surface...

Defects are common features in hematite that arise from deviations the perfect mineral crystal structure. Vacancy defects have been shown to significantly enhance arsenate (As) immobilization by hematite. However, contributions vacancy on different exposed facets of not fully quantified. In this study, samples with various morphologies were pretreated sodium borohydride (NaBH4) generate oxygen (OVDs), analyzed quantitatively using extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) and...

It is widely accepted that antibiotics provide a critical selective pressure for the horizontal transfer of antibiotic resistance between bacterial species. This study demonstrated combination low doses kanamycin and streptomycin, which inhibited growth recipient donor cells, respectively, had positive effects on transmission conjugation plasmids pRK2013, pSU2007, RP4 from Escherichia coli DH5α to HB101 at their minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs). Administration either alone as well...

Abstract Juvenile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis ( JNCL ) is a lysosomal storage disease caused by an autosomal recessive mutation in CLN 3 . Regions of microglial activation precede and predict areas loss ; however, the functional role activated microglia remains to be defined. The inflammasome key molecular pathway for activating pro‐ IL ‐1β microglia, elevated brains patients can induce cell death. Here, we utilized primary isolated from Δex7/8 mutant wild‐type WT mice examine impact on...

Proton and copper (Cu) binding to soil lignite-based humic acid (HA) was investigated by combining X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), nonideal-competitive-adsorption (NICA) modeling. NICA model calculations XAFS results showed that bidentate monodentate complexation occurred for Cu HA. The site-type-specific thermodynamic parameters obtained ITC measurements revealed deprotonated carboxylic-type sites entropically driven phenolic-type...

Microorganisms that colonize the plant rhizosphere can contribute to health, growth and productivity. Although importance of microbiome is known, we know little about underlying mechanisms drive assembly composition. In this study, variation, composition rhizobacterial communities in 11 tomato cultivars, combined with one cultivar seven different sources soil growing substrate, were systematically investigated. The microbiota was dominated by bacteria from phyla Proteobacteria,...
