The effect of farnesol, a sesquiterpene alcohol, on the production laccases by Trametes versicolor and Pycnoporus sanguineus in pineapple waste solid-state fermentation was evaluated. Extracellular laccase reached maximum 77.88 ± 5.62 U/g (236% above control) farnesol-induced cultures T. 17th day, whereas similar P. culture, maximal activity 130.95 2.20 (159% increase) obtained day. A single 45 KDa produced both fungi under influence farnesol. These other data allow us to conclude that...
The incidence of female breast cancer has increased; it is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, at 11.7% total, and fourth highest cancer-related mortality. Magnetic nanoparticles have been used as carriers to improve selectivity decrease side effects on healthy tissues in treatment. Iron oxide (mainly magnetite, Fe3O4), which presents a low toxicity profile superparamagnetic behavior, attractive characteristics for this type application biological systems. In article, synthesis...
This study was to evaluate the biological activity of extract Botryosphaeria fabicerciana isolated from leaves Morus nigra. The volatile compounds crude were analysed by GC-MS which demonstrate that mellein and β-orcinaldehyde are major compounds. best minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) bactericidal (MBC) observed against Gram-positive bacteria, with a MIC 15.6 μg/mL towards B. cereus 62.5 S. aureus subtilis. MBC values 31.25 μg/mL, 250 cereus, subtilis, aureus, respectively....
The white-rot fungus Pleurotus ostreatus was used for biological pretreatment of peach palm (Bactris gasipaes) lignocellulosic wastes. Non-treated and treated B. gasipaes inner sheaths peel were submitted to hydrolysis using a commercial cellulase preparation from T. reesei. amounts total reducing sugars glucose obtained the 30 d-pretreated seven five times higher, respectively, than those without pretreatment. No such improvement found, however, in pretreated peels. Scanning electronic...
The use of a variety microorganisms for the degradation chemicals is green solution to problem environmental pollution. In this work, fungi–magnetic nanoparticles were studied as systems with potential be applied in remediation and pest control agriculture. High food demand puts significant pressure on increasing herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, pesticides, fertilizers. global water pollution also demands new solutions. As sustainable alternative commercial chemical products,...
In Brazil, tomato is one of the most consumed vegetables and fungus Fusarium oxysporum important phytopathogen plants (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.). Thus, search beneficial microorganisms with growth-promoting and/or biological control properties represent an tool for agricultural biotechnology. Herein, two Trichoderma endophytes (strains 36b 164b) associated Coffea arabica were investigated on their activities antagonist effects interactions against F. oxysporum. Molecular multigene (ITS-...
