Biodegradable thermoplastic starch (TPS)/clay hybrids were prepared by melt intercalation. Three organically modified montmorillonite (MMT) with different ammonium cations and one unmodified Na+ MMT (Cloisite Na+) used. Cloisite showed the best dispersion in TPS matrix. It was observed that TPS/Cloisite hybrid an intercalation of silicate layer due to matching surface polarity interactions TPS, which gives higher tensile strength better barrier properties water vapor as compared other...

Abstract Chitosan‐functionalized graphene oxides (FGOCs) were successfully synthesized. FGOCs found to significantly improve the solubility of GO in aqueous acidic media. The presence organic groups was confirmed by means XPS and TGA. Restoration sp 2 carbon network exfoliation sheets Raman spectroscopy, UV‐visible spectroscopy WAXD. SEM AFM investigations resultant showed that most individual few layered. Controlled release behavior Ibuprofen 5‐fluorouracil then investigated. We are a...

Porous carbon nitride (CN) spheres with partially crystalline frameworks have been successfully synthesized via a nanocasting approach by using spherical mesoporous cellular silica foams (MCFs) as hard template, and ethylenediamine tetrachloride precursors. The resulting CN materials uniform diameters of ca. 4 μm, hierarchical three-dimensional (3-D) mesostructures small large mesopores pore centered at 4.0 43 nm, respectively, relatively high BET surface area ∼550 m2/g, volume 0.90 cm3/g....

Abstract Hedgehog (Hh) signalling regulates hepatic fibrogenesis. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) mediate various cellular processes; however, their role in liver fibrosis is unclear. Here we investigate regulation of miRNAs chronically damaged fibrotic liver. MiRNA profiling shows that expression miR-378 family members (miR-378a-3p, miR-378b and miR-378d) declines carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 )-treated compared with corn-oil-treated mice. Overexpression miR-378a-3p, directly targeting Gli3 activated...

In this study, the mechanical properties of polypropylene (PP)/natural fiber composites were studied. For natural component composites, cotton was compared with wood fiber. The effect melt index PP on also investigated. order to improve poor interfacial interaction between hydrophilic fibers and hydrophobic matrix PP, maleic anhydride (MAH) grafted (PP-g-MAH) used as a compatibilizer. tensile strength PP/wood decreases increasing wt% fibers, whereas that PP/cotton displays different...

This communication describes the first preparation of highly ordered large-pore hexagonal periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMOs) using triblock copolymer P123 as template and inorganic salts auxiliary agents under strongly acidic conditions. The long-range structural order PMOs results from enhanced self-assembly interaction imparted by salts.
