Abstract Background The body weight following bariatric surgery is a primary concern for both healthcare professionals and surgical candidates. However, it remains unclear whether variations in preoperative fat distribution influence loss outcomes. Objective aim of this study was to evaluate the effect abdominal on postoperative mass index (BMI) reduction, clarify role different depots Methods Preoperative data from patients with overweight or obesity, along their records at 1, 2 5 years...

AZ31 magnesium alloy metal matrix composites (MMCs) reinforced with 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt-%ZrB2 were successfully fabricated by powder metallurgy subsequent hot extrusion. The structural evolution of AZ31magnesium composite was ZrB2. Particles characterised optical microscope, XRD SEM. reasonably uniform distribution ZrB2 reinforcement good interfacial is present in the AZ31/ZrB2 composite. hardness wear behaviour evaluated. particulates increased 26·8, 41·5, 97·5 107% compared as cast alloy....

A new grain refinement method, electromagnetic suspension casting, has been proposed, which is based on the virtues of stirring and casting. The experiments AZ61 wrought magnesium alloy by casting were investigated. results show that grains refined, thin β-Mg17Al12 phase was observed. Moreover, distribution uniformity improved. mechanism solidification studied. experiment indicate process raises rate billet especially in central region, close to mushy freezing.
