Polluted air and the presence of numerous airborne pathogens affect our daily lives. The sensitive fast detection pollutants is crucial for environmental monitoring effective medical diagnostics. Compared to conventional methods (PCR, ELISA, metabolic tests, etc.), biosensors bring a very attractive possibility detect chemicals organic particles with mentioned reliability sensitivity in real time. Moreover, by integrating nanomaterials into biosensor structure, it possible increase...

Abstract Aim To assess the feasibility, safety and efficacy of using a high‐flow nasal cannula (HFNC) for stabilising very preterm infants after birth. Methods A prospective observational study included born at 28 + 0 to 31 6 weeks' gestation between February 2021 December 2022 General University Hospital in Prague. Following delayed cord clamping, HFNC was administered flow rate 8 L/min through infants' nostrils. Criteria switching continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or ventilation...

Purpose/Aim: High-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) is a method of that theoretically achieves the goals lung protective in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) patients. It characterized by rapid delivery small tidal volumes at high frequencies oscillating around continuous distending pressure (CDP). Optimization CDP not an easy task and it titrated empirically clinical practice. The aim this study to investigate whether level consistently affects shape partial oxygen (PaO2)...

The role of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) has long been debated. Numerous studies documented its benefits, whereas several more recent did not prove superiority HFOV over protective conventional mechanical (CV). One the accepted explanations is that CV and act differently, including gas exchange. To investigate a different level coupling or decoupling between oxygenation carbon dioxide elimination during HFOV, we conducted prospective crossover animal study in 11 healthy pigs....
