Mare volcanics on the Moon are key record of thermo-chemical evolution throughout most lunar history1-3. Young mare basalts-mainly distributed in a region rich potassium, rare-earth elements and phosphorus (KREEP) Oceanus Procellarum, called Procellarum KREEP Terrane (PKT)4-were thought to be formed from KREEP-rich sources at depth5-7. However, this hypothesis has not been tested with young basalts PKT. Here we present petrological geochemical study basalt clasts PKT returned by Chang'e-5...

Abstract We present new laser ablation (LA)‐multicollector‐inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry detrital zircon U‐Pb age and Hf isotope data of the Triassic sedimentary rocks from eastern western sides Ailaoshan suture in SW China, which separate Indochina South China blocks. Detrital grains Lower‐Middle sequences show single population 280–237 Ma (peak at 254–251 Ma) with mainly positive ε Hf( t ) values (+0.15 to +9.11, ~60%). The Middle samples also contain 273–236 246–242 Ma),...

The limitations of underwater acoustic communications mean that the side-scan sonar data an autonomous vehicle (AUV) cannot be transmitted back and processed in real time, which means targets detected time. To address problem, this paper proposes AUV-based real-time detection method for targets. First, describes system operation underwater-target by mounted on AUV. Next, it a processing data, constructing deep-learning-based model, based navigation strip images, together solve three key...

Bastnäsite is the end member of a large group carbonate–fluoride minerals with common formula (REE) CO 3 F·CaCO . This generally widespread and, despite never occurring in quantities, represents major economic light rare earth element (LREE) mineral deposits related to carbonatite and alkaline intrusions. Since bastnäsite easily altered commonly contains inclusions earlier‐crystallised minerals, situ analysis considered most suitable method measure its U‐Th‐Pb Sr‐Nd isotopic compositions....

The last decade has seen widespread adoption of triple quadrupole-based inductively coupled plasma–tandem mass spectrometry (ICPMS/MS) technique using a collision/reaction cell in combination with precell bandpass analyzer to measure isotopes otherwise masked by spectral interferences. High-precision isotope ratio analysis containing such would benefit from similar capability on multicollector plasma (MC-ICPMS) platform, but for MC-ICPMS/MS several limitations. To overcome these limitations,...

Several techniques have been developed to detect target signatures, such as synchronous reference subtraction (SRS) method. Abstract The Paleotethys Ailaoshan Ocean separated the South China and Indochina blocks during late Paleozoic.
