Several studies investigated different interaction techniques and input devices for older adults using touchscreen. This literature review analyses the population involved, kind of tasks that were executed, apparatus, techniques, provided feedback, collected data author's findings their recommendations. As conclusion, this shows age-related changes, previous experience with technologies, characteristics handheld use situations need to be studied.

The serve is the most important stroke in tennis. It a complex gesture consisting of numerous rotations with wide amplitude, which are to manage for performance. aim this study was investigate whether correlations exist between joint kinematic parameters and racket velocity. A quantitative kinematics analysis four ranked players (two boys two girls) carried out using an optoelectronic system composed 10 cameras (150 Hz). Five flat serves per player were analyzed. Eighty-two markers located...

The prevailing hypothesis about grasping in primates stipulates an evolution from power towards precision grips hominids. of is far more complex, as shown by analysis new morphometric and behavioural data. latter concern the modes food 11 species (one platyrrhine, nine catarrhines humans). We show that grip thumb-lateral behaviours are linked to carpus thumb length, whereas second third digit length. No phylogenetic signal was found characters when using squared-change parsimony eigenvector...

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the most important problems among young smartphone users worldwide. Portability leads to a wide variety postures during different activities day. The objective evaluation these coupled with ergonomic tools allows evaluating level MSD risk which exposed. The purpose was investigate effect time day on posture adopted use university students. study conducted through cross-sectional survey 263 sports Four day, i.e. morning, afternoon, evening and night,...

The aim of this study was to assess technical changes during constrained swimming in time-to-exhaustion tests. Ten swimmers national standard performed a maximal 400-m front crawl and two sets exhaustion tests at 95%, 100%, 110% mean speed. In the first set (free), had maintain their speeds until stroke rate recorded for each test. second (controlled), same speed individual corresponding were imposed. durations tests, relative phases, arm coordination analysed. For "controlled" set, shorter....

Time spend using smartphones is constantly increasing. Portability leads to postures that expose them musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The aim was study the effect of time day (morning, afternoon, evening and night) on university students' when their over weekend link with MSD risk. A cross-sectional survey conducted among 277 students (25.3% female, 74.7% male, 17-24 years). SmarTaxo 41 (sitting, standing, lying, walking) relative RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) scores were considered....

The wheel camber of a wheelchair is significant parameter that must be taken into account in the search for optimal regulation wheelchair. This study examined effects different rear-wheel (9 degrees , 12 and 15 )-today used mainly handibasket championship-on various kinetic kinematic parameters propulsion cycle. Eight males, all players French championship, were asked to participate this study. They performed three 8 s maximal sprints as measured by ergometer, 9 camber. results our show...

The aim of this study was to investigate muscle activity, kinematic, and handgrip-force pattern generation during handcycling. One able-bodied participant performed a 1-min exercise test on handcycle at 70 revolutions per minute. This article proposes an original data collection analysis methodology that gathers synchronized kinematics, kinetics, electromyography. Such data, which most often appear complex, are easily summarized using methodology. preliminary has new setup offers good...

Musculoskeletal disorders are prevalent among physiotherapists. They perform many repetitive tasks in awkward postures that require a high muscle load. This issue was often addressed through subjective analysis (questionnaire) but rarely using postural evaluation combined with an ergonomic assessment. The aim of this article to decompose draining lymphatic massage performed by physiotherapists generic (GP) quickly assess the musculoskeletal disorder risk.Based on numeric video recorded...

SUMMARY In the field of multifingered mechanisms control/command problem is mainly a o1 coordination. The not only to coordinate joints chains but also different together. This paper presents general and efficient method for implementing such systems, taking into account force distribution problem. To solve this it necessary pay great attention dynamic effects. do this, we broke down Inverse Dynamic Model (I.D.M.) two main levels; One level devoted I.D.M. computation; can be called Finger...
