Understanding the mechanisms promoting chromosomal translocations of rearranging receptor loci in leukemia and lymphoma remains incomplete. Here we show that leukemias induced by aberrant activation β-catenin thymocytes, which bear recurrent Tcra/Myc-Pvt1 translocations, depend on Tcf-1.
