Layered double oxides (LDOs) can restore the parent layered hydroxides (LDHs) structure under hydrous conditions, and this "memory effect" plays a critical role in applications of LDHs, yet detailed mechanism is still debate. Here, we apply strategy based on ex situ solid-state NMR spectroscopy to monitor Mg/Al-LDO changes during recovery at atomic scale. Despite common belief that aqueous solution required, discover occur virtually process. Local structural information obtained with shows...
Rice is a staple crop in Asia, with more than 400 million tons consumed annually worldwide. The protein content of rice major determinant its unique structural, physical, and nutritional properties. Chemical analysis, traditional method for measuring rice’s content, demands considerable manpower, time, costs, including preprocessing such as removing the husk. Therefore, technology needed to rapidly nondestructively measure paddy during harvest storage stages. In this study, nondestructive...
The impacts of subsurface species catalysts on reaction processes are still under debate, largely due to a lack characterization methods for distinguishing these from the surface and bulk. By using
Noble metal oxides are highly valuable and act as a key component of metal-oxide interfaces in oxide-supported noble catalysts, which play crucial role modern industrial society. Here, we investigate the structure four common stable using 17O solid-state NMR. The optimal isotopic labeling temperature ensures highest efficiency while preserving oxides. variation characteristic signals for each oxide reveals oxygen species different chemical environments, NMR parameters related to shift...
Abstract The insecticidal activity of Acorus calamus L. rhizome‐derived material against adults Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky was examined by using repellency method and contact toxicity. biologically active constituent the A. rhizome separated identified. results showed that ethanol extract had strong effect to S. characterized as ( Z )‐asarone spectroscopic analysis. Responses from tests varied with exposure times doses. In test, 93.92% at 629.08 μg/cm 2 but only 71.38% 157.27 12 h after...
Abstract Calamusenone [3,8-dimethyl-5-(1-methylethylidene)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydroazulene-6-one, C15H22O] from Acorus gramineus Soland rhizome was tested in the laboratory for its insecticidal activities against adults of Sitophilus zeamais Motsch. and Rhizopertha dominica (Fab.), using dry film contact fumigation methods. Responses varied with insect species, dosage exposure time. In experiment, highest effects calamusenone S. R. were produced at 170.32 μg/cm2 after treatment 72 h, 96.2%...
Contact toxicities of Acorus calamus L. (Arales: Araceae) extracts obtained from four published extraction methods: soakage, soxhlet, ultrasonic and supercritical fluid CO₂ (SFE-CO₂), were compared in this study. Under the given conditions, SFE-CO₂ extract exhibited highest contact toxicity against S. zeamais methods. With method, temperature, pressure, time amount EtOH (the solvent) identified as having a significant effect on extract. Orthogonal experiments showed that optimal parameters...
ABSTRACT The changes in germination, free fatty acid (FFA), and viscosity of the transgenic Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) rice expressing cry1Ab/cry1Ac gene its associated Bt protein were observed at three‐month intervals during 24 months storage ambient temperature relative humidity. After nine storage, FFA was significantly lower than that nontransgenic rice, while germination higher. Rates change rice. content husk brown both decreased 80% storage. Our observations suggest used this study...
The synthesis of CeO 2 nanorods with exposed (111) facets is optimized and the obtained material shows very narrow 17 O NMR peaks, providing a foundation for future research on mechanisms using solid-state spectroscopy.
With Ni/CeO2 as an example, which has important applications in catalysis, 17O solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy was applied to explore and analyze the concentration of surface Ni ions, according changes NMR intensity oxygen ions. The results indicate that concentrations first second top metal ion layers 10% NiCe-500 20% NiCe-300 are within ranges 9%~17% 8%~15%, respectively. This approach may be extended study doped paramagnetic elements for a variety oxide materials.
