Abstract In the manufacturing industry, automatic quality inspections can lead to improved product and productivity. Deep learning-based computer vision technologies, with their superior performance in many applications, be a possible solution for inspections. However, collecting large amount of annotated training data deep learning is expensive time-consuming, especially processes involving various products human activities such as assembly. To address this challenge, we propose method...

This paper is about effectively utilizing synthetic data for training deep neural networks industrial parts classification, in particular, by taking into account the domain gap against real-world images. To this end, we introduce a dataset that may serve as preliminary testbed Sim-to-Real challenge; it contains 17 objects of six use cases, including isolated and assembled parts. A few subsets exhibit large similarities shape albedo reflecting challenging cases All sample images come with...

OCCUPATIONAL APPLICATIONSIn the context of Industry 5.0, our study advances manufacturing factory layout planning by integrating multi-objective optimization with nature-inspired algorithms and a digital human modeling tool. This approach aims to overcome limitations traditional methods, which often rely on engineers' expertise inputs from various functions in company, leading slow processes risk errors. By focusing three primary targets, methodology promotes objective efficient planning,...

SUMMARY Using a scanning tunnelling microscope, voltage‐dependent imaging of antimony on the GaAs(110) surface has been performed. For negative sample voltages, images reflect dangling bonds. Depending magnitude voltage, either one or both Sb atoms in unit cell are seen. At positive voltage density surface‐states is observed to be greatly reduced compared voltages. The results analysed within context simple tight‐binding model for one‐dimensional biatomic chain.
