Introduction Although solventogenic Clostridium species (SCS) produce butanol, achieving high enough titers to warrant commercialization of biobutanol remains elusive. Thus, deepening our understanding the intricate cellular wiring SCS is crucial unearthing new targets and strategies for engineering novel strains capable producing tolerating greater concentrations butanol. Methods This study investigated potential role cyclic-di-adenosine monophosphate (c-di-AMP) in regulating solvent...
Approaching an efficient anion exchange membrane water electrolyzer (AEMWE) with satisfactorily high kinetics in the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is desired. We design advanced Pt single atom (SA)-based electrocatalyst by incorporating Ni nanoparticle as artificial ensemble site adjacent to SA. The designed SA achieves higher areal current density (500 mA cm-2 at 1.8 V) cell of AEMWE and better voltage stability than Pt/C electrocatalyst. assists separating binding sites H⁎...
