Nanosized neutral silicon-carbon compound clusters produced by a laser vaporization source have been analyzed in the gas phase and deposited at room temperature on various substrates an ultrahigh vacuum environment to produce nanostructured thin films. The electronic structure has probed complementary techniques, such as x-ray photoemission electron-energy-loss spectroscopies, vibrational investigated using Raman spectroscopy. film presents morphology close amorphouslike one. However, main...

The current status of the Space Station (SS) Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) Air Revitalization Subsystem (ARS) design is outlined. ARS performance requirements are provided, along with subsystem options for each function selected evaluations relative merits subsystem. Detailed computer models that have been developed to analyze individual capabilities also discussed. A summary level testing planned completed by NASA Marshall Flight Center (MSFC) given.

In order to take advantage of the assets ion irradiation, position Bragg peak has be monitored accurately. Here we propose a technique relying on detection prompt γ with Compton camera. We reconstruct analytically prompt-γ emission points by intersecting trajectories given beam hodoscope and cones reconstructed For camera, investigate use stack 2 mm thick silicon strip detectors as scatterer one scintillator an absorber. The response camera photon point source realistic spectrum...
