This Letter presents a crystalline silicon thin film solar cell model with Si nanowire arrays surface decoration and metallic nanostructure patterns on the back reflector. A crystalline Si thin film solar cell with elliptical silicon nanowire (SiNW)-decorated surface is presented. The SiNW performs broadband light absorption in the low energy region while maintaining strong high region. This paper presents an enhanced rectenna with harmonic rejection for RF energy harvesting applications. Based on a wideband log-periodic antenna, the high-order harmonics at 4.9 GHz, 7.35 and 9.8 GHz can be suppressed by optimizing sizes of antenna's branches.
