The Linear Etalon Imaging Spectral Array (LEISA) represents a new class of hyperspectral cameras which use non- dispersive thin film filters as wavelength selective elements. simplicity and versatility these instruments make them attractive for spaceflight use. LEISA currently operates in the shortwave IR spectral region, but design is adaptable to operation at wavelengths from visible longwave IR.
