Intradermal tests were carried out on 18 horses with clinical signs of Culicoides hypersensitivity (CHS) and 23 without CHS, sera from these analysed by SDS-PAGE Western blotting (W-B). injections 0.1 ml 25 microg/microl sterile extract, 1:10,000 histamine (positive control) physiological saline (negative made in the dermis middle region neck. Analysis reactions indicated that a 1 cm wheal skinfold thickness >10% at 24 h represented valid cut-off between CHS. In conditions test, even winter...

To compare the effectiveness of cromolyn sodium (CS) (10 mg) and nedocromil (NS) (4 administered by a metered dose inhaler (MDI) with spacer device in preventing exercise-induced asthma (EIA), eight asthmatic children EIA were studied randomized double-blind, cross-over, placebo-controlled study, CS NS provided significant, comparable protection from both better than placebo. We conclude that pressurized aerosol provide equal against children.
