Cu-30wt%Ag alloy nanopowders were prepared by induction plasma system, and the effect of hydrogen content in atmosphere on morphology size distribution was studied. High strength tungsten alloys with different deformation of 20%, 40%, 50% and 60% were prepared by swaging, the impact fracture morphologies tested observed respectively Charpy tester SEM to study influence degree on behavior. The penetration characteristics of tungsten fiber reinforced metallic glass matrix composite with different spacing were simulated by LS-DYNA programme. Contrast ballistic tests were carried out on 93W alloy and W fiber reinforced Zr-based bulk metallic glass composite. The influence of penetrator material micro-hardness around target crater was studied using microstructure observation test. results show that adiabatic shear band appears in both targets after severe plastic deformation impact. effect composite is greater than alloy, the thickness with high formed by 2.5 times penetrator.
The effect of yield strength and elastic modulus matrix on shear stress in two phases composite reinforced with W fiber under pulse loading was simulated by ANSYS software. results show that the mechanical properties should be taken into consideration designing composite. high low can reduce fiber, is beneficial to keeping integrity during penetration, thus resulting improvement penetration capacity.
