水稻(Oryza sativa L.)是我国最重要的粮食作物之一,是全国一半以上人口的主食,提高产量和改良稻米品质一直是水稻育种工作的重要目标。随着水稻基因组学、分子生物学等学科的快速发展,科学家们在过去几十年成功克隆了许多水稻产量和品质性状相关的基因,为水稻种质创新提供了丰富的基因资源,但是通过传统育种方法利用这些基因耗时且费力。近年来出现的以CRISPR/Cas系统为代表的基因组编辑技术极大地拓宽了生物育种的方式方法,可以精准、高效、定向地对目标基因及其调控的性状进行改良,从而揭开了动植物育种的新篇章。本文就近年来基因组编辑技术在水稻产量和品质改良方面的应用以及所取得的进展进行了综述,以期为通过基因组编辑技术创制高产优质水稻新种质提供一些新思路。
