We aimed to investigate the prevalence of 12 thrombophilic gene mutations in RPL couples current results. Method: In total 543 Turkish women 327 their male partners (870 individuals RPL), control group 106 fertile (control) were analyzed for factor V leiden (FVL), H1299R, II prothrombin G20210A, FXIII V34L, β-fibrinogen...

A retrospective study of 222 ovarian biopsy results between January 1, 2000 and August 31, 2002 was examined to determine the accuracy frozen section diagnosis. In addition we reviewed all previous studies that rates diagnosis in tumors. Histopathologic examination biopsies were concordant with paraffin 92% cases. The sensitivity for benign, malignant, borderline tumors 98%, 88.7%, 61%, respectively. There five (2.2%) false-positive (overdiagnosed), 13 (5.4%) false-negative (underdiagnosed)...

Abstract Objective To assess the effect of nifedipine tocolysis on Doppler parameters uterine, umbilical and fetal middle cerebral arteries atrioventricular valves in first 48 h therapy. Methods waveforms both were measured from 28 pregnant women fetuses prior to during therapy for preterm labor. Maternal heart rates (FHR), maternal systolic diastolic blood pressure, pulsatility index (PI) measured. The cerebroplacental ratio (middle artery PI/umbilical PI) was calculated. total time...

Fetal gender has a significant effect on maternal and cord blood hCG levels, particularly during the last trimester of pregnancy. However, reason for this difference is obscure. The aim present study was to investigate whether term fetal hypophyseal - adrenal gonadal axis differs between female male fetuses thereby causing different levels. consisted 60 women with singleton pregnancies in third trimester. Thirty-one pregnant were carrying fetuses, whereas 29 male. Human chorionic...

High-dose methotrexate (MTX) is one of the most prescribed agents in many malignant diseases affecting girls and young women reproductive ages. This animal study directly measures primordial follicle loss following exposure to high-dose MTX.Nine inbred Balb/c mice aged 7-8 weeks group were administered 5 gr/m(2) MTX as a single agent intraperitoneally, whereas nine control received saline. Seven days later killed total numbers follicles remaining both ovaries counted. In group, mean number...
