Maintaining the balance of fluid and electrolytes is crucial to care patients across continuum. To do this, a practitioner must be cognizant key monitoring assessment parameters. Key electrolytes, their function within body, normal values, signs symptoms imbalances, treatment modalities, other considerations are discussed.
Simulation, as a conduit to apply both adult and constructivist learning theory, is an important educational modality in nursing professional development. The use of simulation well studied the academic setting, but evidence supporting its practice environment lacking. This quality improvement project provides road map for designing implementing meet needs practicing nurses.

This study evaluated the efficacy of online versus instructor-led advanced cardiac life support for first-time registered nurse participants. Participants were randomized into or courses, with learning outcomes measured in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains. The group showed statistically significant better performance during simulated megacode. Further analysis identified key areas where participants out-performed group, enabling educators to articulate risk benefit two modalities.
