The active sites of the xanthine oxidase and sulfite enzyme families contain one pterin−dithiolene cofactor ligand bound to a molybdenum atom. Consequently, monodithiolene complexes have been sought by exploratory synthesis for structural reactivity studies. Reaction [MoO(S2C2Me2)2]1- or [MoO(bdt)2]1- with PhSeCl results in removal dithiolate formation [MoOCl2(S2C2Me2)]1- (1) [MoOCl2(bdt)]1- (2), which undergoes substitution reactions form other [MoO(2-AdS)2(S2C2Me2)]1- (3),...

Nicotine causes neurotoxic effects because it quickly penetrates the blood-brain barrier after entering human body. Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is a key enzyme in central and peripheral nervous system associated with neurotoxicity. In this study, spectroscopic method computer simulation were applied to explore mode of interaction between AChE enantiomers nicotine (S/R-nicotine). Fluorescence spectroscopy showed that quenching mechanism endogenous fluorescence by S/R-nicotine was static, as...

Synthetic models leading to oxosulfidotungsten(VI) groups and dithiolene chelate rings have been investigated. The heterogeneous reaction systems [WO4-nSn]2-/2Ph3SiCl/Me4phen (n = 0−2) in acetonitrile afford the complexes [WQ2(OSiPh3)2(Me4phen)] (1−3) indicated yields containing WVIO2 (1; 86%), WVIOS (2; 45%), WVIS2 (3; 83%). In crystalline state these imposed C2 symmetry, with cis-oxo/sulfido trans-silyloxide ligands. 1H NMR spectra indicate that this stereochemistry is retained solution....

Abstract Four novel manganese(II) binuclear complexes have been synthesized and characterized, namely [Mn2(IPHTA)(L)4](CIO4)2 (L denotes 2,2′-bipyridyl (bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridyl (Mezbpy) 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (NO2-phen), respectively), where IPHTA is the isophthalate dianion. Based on IR, elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, ESR magnetic susceptibility, these are proposed to extended isophthalato–bridged structures consist of two ions in...

Abstract Four new nickel(II) binuclear complexes have been synthesized and characterized, namely [N12(TCPHT A)(L)4](ClO4)2 (L denotes 1, 10-phenanthroline (phen), 5-niitro-l, 10-phertanthroline (NO2-phen), 2, 2′-bipyridyl (bpy) 4, 4′-dimethyl-2, (Mezbpy), respectively), where TCPHTA is the tetrachlorophthalate dianion. Based on IR, elemental analyses conductivity measurements, these are proposed to telrachlorophthalato-bridged structures consisting of two ions in which each ion has a...

In the title complex, [Mn(N(3))(2)(C(8)H(8)N(6))(2)], complete molecule is generated by application of twofold symmetry, and in a distorted octa-hedral environment, coordinated four N atoms two bidentate 6-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine ligands from azide anions. The chelated form dihedral angle 74.75 (5)°. mononuclear mol-ecules are alternatively linked into layers parallel to ac plane via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. Adjacent connected three-dimensional supra-molecular framework futher...
