Abstract The order-disorder transition (ODT) of A 2 B O 7 compounds obtained enormous attention owing to the potential application for thermal barrier coating (TBC) design. Entropy engineering has attracted extensive attention, which is applied to induce controllable changes in structures through lattice distortion effects optimize certain properties. Electric-field modulated magnetic properties have attracted numerous research studies to elucidate the underlying physics and develop practical electronic devices.
