The synthesis, as well the mesomorphic and electrochemical properties, of a hetero-bimetallic coordination complex able to self-assemble into columnar liquid crystalline phase is reported herein. properties were investigated by polarized optical microscopy (POM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) analysis. Electrochemical explored cyclic voltammetry (CV), relating behaviour previously analogous monometallic Zn(II) compounds. obtained results highlight...
Polarized emission in highly luminescent room temperature columnar metallomesogens based on Zn( ii ) metal centre.
The synthesis and structural characterization of a new liquid crystalline coordination complex based on pentacoordinated Zn(II) metal centre with the fulfilled by tridentate chelating N^N^N 2,2′;6′,2″-terpyridine ligand two monoanionic gallates decorated several long alkyl chains is described. mesomorphic properties were accurately investigated small- wide-angle X-ray scattering studies. Despite bulky around centre, self-organizes into smectic phase and, geometrical parameters, model for...
New hetero-polynuclear coordination complexes based on a pentacoordinated Zn(II) metal center with tridentate terpyridine-based ligands and monoanionic gallates functionalized long alkyl chains containing ferrocene units were designed, synthesized characterized using spectroscopic analytical methods. The are mesomorphic, exhibiting columnar hexagonal mesophases. photophysical properties in solution an ordered condensed state accurately investigated the influence of polarity solvent was evidenced.
Hetero-bimetallic liquid crystalline materials, exhibiting a single Colhex mesophase, were obtained by simple chemical blending between two structurally-related Cu(II) and Zn(II) metallomesogens based on 1,10-phenanthroline chelating gallate ligands. Mesomorphous optical properties modified upon their relative respective proportions. This study highlights the numerous possibilities for fabrication of new multifunctional polymetallic with possibility tuning controlling supramolecular...

The present paper describes the preparation and characterization of a new dinuclear ligand based on terpyridine featuring diselenide unit. This compound was synthesized in two-step procedure that first involved insertion moiety carboxylic acid followed by Steglich esterification reaction between biscarboxylic containing unit 2,6-di(pyridin-2-yl)pyridin-4-ol (tpyOH). title characterized via FT-IR, Raman, NMR (1D 2D), UV-Vis spectroscopies elemental analysis. Emission properties were investigated.
