Abstract Muscovite B4M, distributed in 1961 as an age standard, was ground under ethanol. Five grain size fractions were obtained and characterized by X-ray diffraction. They display a mixing trend between phengitic (enriched the fraction <0.2 µm) muscovitic component (predominant >20 µm). High-pressure phengite is preserved relict retrograde muscovite. Abstract Eocene dykes extending over 50 km along the southern margin of Ladakh batholith (NW India) fall into two main groups showing different orientations, as well isotope and trace element geochemistry.
