We present diamond-like carbon (DLC) conversion surfaces to detect particles with energy below 2 keV. Conversion have been widely applied in measurements of low-energy by instruments onboard planetary and heliophysics missions. Their effectiveness is characterized the efficiency changing charge state incident while maintaining a narrow angular distribution for reflected particles.
