By means of the nonequilibrium Green function technique, electronic transport through a multiple-quantum-dot system is theoretically studied. In this system, one-dimensional quantum dot chain between two contacts forms main channel for tunneling. Each in couples laterally to dangling dot. Whenever energy incident electron aligned with levels dots, zero point transmission occurs due Fano antiresonance. As result, linear conductance spectrum presents an insulating band around antiresonant...

For a quantum dot (QD) in the Kondo regime, we introduce side QD attached to one of two leads mimic an Anderson impurity conduction electron reservoir. Then, study peculiar effect such double structure. We find that peak local density states QDs exhibits notable deviation from Lorentzian line shape. More importantly, expected linear conductance turns into zero when level or single-particle is aligned with Fermi level. This result indicates presence can quench transport through central QD....

Laser pulse amplification by a high-pressure CO2 amplifier in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) spectral range is feasible technology for strong-field physics research. Crystals such as ZnGeP2 (ZGP) have high nonlinear coefficients and transmittance LWIR region, with widths of generated pulses closely matching gain spectrum amplifiers. Therefore, ZGP optical parametric oscillation (OPO) may allow higher-efficiency energy extraction amplifiers, improving output characteristics systems. In this...

By introducing a floating lead to mimic the decoherence mechanism, Fano effect in linear conductance spectrum of T-shaped double quantum dot structure is studied. We find that even case self-energy arising from mechanism much smaller than coupling strength between connected and conducting lead, lineshape can be largely destroyed. In addition, renders high-order electron transmission paths unimportant contributing lineshape.
