Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), particularly leucine, are indispensable AAs for immune regulation through metabolic rewiring. However, the molecular mechanism underlying this phenomenon remains unclear. Our investigation revealed that T-cell receptor (TCR)-activated human CD4

Abstract Trained immunity is the long-term functional reprogramming of innate immune cells, which results in altered responses toward a secondary challenge. Despite indoxyl sulfate (IS) being potent stimulus associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD)-related inflammation, its impact on trained has not been explored. Here, we demonstrate that IS induces monocytes via epigenetic and metabolic reprogramming, resulting augmented cytokine production. Mechanistically, aryl hydrocarbon receptor...

Abstract Prior studies suggest that analysts under‐react to past information (Klein, ; Abarbanell and Bernard, Easterwood Nutt, ). We examine whether evidence interpreted as analyst under‐reaction negative news can be attributed self‐selection. Analyst self‐selection arises when analysts' production efforts are focused toward stocks expect perform well. Using a large sample of firms for the period 1983–2004, we find suggesting is responsible, at least in part, about firm's performance.

Abstract Zinc is an essential micronutrient that plays critical roles in multiple facets of biological processes, including growth, development, proliferation, and differentiation. Since dysregulated zinc homeostasis impairs overall immune function resultantly, increases susceptibility to infection, much attention has been recently paid immunomodulatory cells. Rapid efficient production proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β TNF-α, a primary effect monocytes/macrophages for host defense....
