Abstract The gastrointestinal content analysis of 344 invasive rodents (120 black rats and 224 house mice) in two Mayan communities revealed that consumed a high percentage plants (93.3%) arthropods (95.5%). In contrast, were less frequent (55.8%) than (94.6%) mouse’s diet. both rodent species, fragments Sapotaceae Hymenoptera common plant arthropod foods, respectively. Our results suggest the food availability present is similar to one described natural habitats.
