The vibrational properties of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDT) have been studied by means UV−vis−NIR optical absorption spectroscopy and resonance Raman scattering (RRS) with two excitation lines: green (514 nm) infrared (1064 nm). two-step oxidative doping process does not induce a drastic change for the bands, but changes that occur are clearly evidenced. During doping, new bands appear, indicating modification electronic structure polymer. Vibrational calculations were carried out...
We present a complete study of the conductive form polyaniline emeraldine salt. The experimental spectra salt doped in classical way and also by action camphorsulfonic acid–m-cresol are presented. Vibrational calculations on presented, considering non-planar geometry polymer. A influence torsion angle between cycles is proposed. Finally, assignment Raman vibrational modes discussed. The effect of polyaniline deuteration on the Raman spectra this polymer has been studied in detail. Four types samples have prepared: nondeuterated polyaniline, deuterated selectively ring, nitrogen, and both ring nitrogen. Selective allowed for experimental verification modes assignment proposed different polyaniline. In particular, contribution C−H bending to C−C stretchings benzoid quinoid rings chain confirmed. addition, selective enabled us identify, first time band associated with N−H...
In this work, we have used an oligomer model compound approach for the understanding of vibrational spectra principal forms polyaniline. Selected compounds been studied by Raman and infrared (IR) spectroscopies. The observed bands are assigned to expected modes, revealing relationships between molecules. a more theoretical part, dynamical calculations on different their related polymers presented. use allows us reach better sets force constants, as soon assume that parameters can be...
Raman spectra of neutral and electrochemically doped regioregular poly(3-decylthiophene) were studied using different excitation lines, namely, 457.9, 514.5, 676, 1064 nm. Contrary to the case nonregioregular obtained by polymerization with FeCl3, in polymer position principal band (due CαCβ stretchings) is essentially independent wavelength, proving its high structural homogeneity extended conjugation. spectroelectrochemical studies oxidative doping can be clearly correlated cyclic...
Integrons constitute a novel family of DNA elements which evolved by site-specific integration discrete units between two conserved segments. On the In4 integron Tn1696, precisely inserted gene cassette 1,549 bp conferring nonenzymatic chloramphenicol resistance (cmlA) is present streptomycin-spectinomycin (aadA2) and 3'-conserved segment integron. In this study, we nucleotide sequence cmlA show its similarity to bacterial efflux systems other transport proteins, evidence for alterations...

In this paper, we investigate the low frequency Raman spectra of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT's) prepared by electric arc method. Low modes are unambiguously identified on purified samples thanks to small internal diameter MWNT's. We propose a model describe these modes. They originate from radial breathing vibrations individual walls coupled through van der Waals interaction between adjacent concentric walls. The intensity is described in framework bond polarization theory. Using and...
Experimental and theoretical studies of basic forms polyaniline are presented. spectra emeraldine, leucoemeraldine pernigraniline their oligomer model compounds (diphenylamine, phenyl-end-capped dimer, tetramer, hexamer, imine form base tetramer emeraldine tetramer) were recorded in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone solution the solid state. The calculations performed using valence force field model. A non-planar geometry polymers studied was taken into consideration particular phenylene ring torsions...
In this paper, we present a detailed study of the vibrational properties neutral and $n$-doped polyparaphenylene-vinylene (PPV). Resonance Raman scattering infrared-absorption results are analyzed interpreted by use dynamical calculations based on valence force-field model. Experimental data include those obtained from related oligomers, i.e., trans-stilbene distyrylbenzene with assumption similar geometry parameters. Force constants optimized according to assignments ir bands series...
Mechanical extracellular signals elicit chromatin remodeling via the mechanotransduction pathway, thus determining cellular function. However, reverse pathway is an open question: does shape cells, regulating their adhesion strength? With fluidic force microscopy, we can directly measure strength of epithelial cells by driving compaction to decompaction with remodelers. We observe that compaction, induced performing histone acetyltransferase inhibition or ATP depletion, leads a reduction in...
The genotoxic activities of 63, 2-nitronaphthofurans and related molecules were examined using two bacterial short-term tests, the Salmonella mammalian microsome assay test or Mutatest, a mutagenesis assay, and/or SOS Chromotest, an for induction function in Escherichia coli. Seven compounds also investigated Chinese hamster ovary cells/hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (CHO/HGPRT) test, gene mutation assay. Our main conclusions are following: (a) Simple empirical rules...
Abstract Raman spectra of KI (F centres) are described and calculated in the “off resonance” approximation neglecting spin F centre electron. The theory predicts a very intense Γ resonant mode at 96 cm −1 agreement with experiment but is unable to account for observed depolarization this mode. Application Henry's shows that effect can be partially due spin—orbit coupling its first excited state.
