Two new species, Taikona gaoligongshana Yu, Arita & Kallies, sp. nov. and extraordinaria Kallies are described from Yunnan Province, China. Illustrations of the holotypes male genitalia provided, along with a key to all currently known species genus. DNA barcoding sequences also provided.
Invasive species often encounter novel selective pressures in their invaded range, and understanding potential for rapid evolution is critical developing effective management strategies. Zaprionus indianus an invasive drosophilid native to Africa that reached Florida 2005 likely re-establishes temperate North American populations each year. We addressed two evolutionary questions this system: first, do evolve phenotypic changes the generations immediately following colonization of...
The present paper deals with 12 species of Telenomus. Among them, 6 species:Telenomus sesamiae, T. (Aholcus)parnarae,T. ostriniae, chilocolus, guangdon-gensis. scirophagae are described as new to science. All type specimens deposited in the Institute Zoology, Academia Sinica. 1. Telenomus sesamiae Wu et Chen, sp. nov. Length: ? 0.60--0.65mm. 0.60 mm. Similar guangdongensis Chen etLiao, but thorax and abdomen more flattened; position occipital foramen hi-gher.
