By extensive studies of both neutron and synchrotron X-ray diffraction, we discover that the structure deviates from well-known Debye–Gruneissen predictions below T N in multiferroic BiFeO 3 . At same time, it exhibits a magnetoelastic effect ∼0.4%, when undergoes spiral magnetic order with an extremely long incommensurate period 630 Å. We show this additional electric polarization is proportional to intensity Bragg peaks. When subjected high fields, our experiments Monte-Carlo simulation...

The effect of alloying element additions to Ag sheath on mechanical and thermal properties Bi-2223 tapes has been evaluated. Additions Au, Pd, Mg Al increased hardness strength, while reducing workability conductivity. Hardness tensile strength Ag/sub 0.92/Pd/sub 0.06/Mg/sub 0.02/ 0.973/Au/sub 0.025/Mg/sub 0.002/ alloys improved 92.5(Hv), 397 MPa 81.9(Hv), 236 MPa, respectively. On the other hand, corresponding values were 55.4(Hv) 135 MPa. In addition, microstructural observation showed...

This study investigates the modeling and experimental validation of cell morphology in microcellular-foamed polycaprolactone (PCL) using supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) as blowing agent. The microcellular foaming process (MCP) was conducted a solid-state batch process, where PCL saturated with scCO2 at 6 to 9 MPa 313 K, followed by depressurization rate −0.3 −1 MPa/s. utilized Sanchez–Lacombe equation state Peng–Robinson–Stryjek–Vera model solubility density PCL-CO2 mixture. Classical...

Superalloys, which are known for their high temperature resistance, widely used in aerospace applications, gas turbines, turbine blades jet engines and automotive applications. The Inconel alloy 740 is a nickel-based, age-hardened superalloy, with good heat resistance thermal stability. thermophysical properties of the varied material compositions were assessed by measurement diffusivity, specific capacity, conductivity, coefficient expansion (CTE). was modified titanium aluminium. A typical...

The C-N coating can provide outstanding performance on the surface of spur gear. SCM415 specimens and test gears with steel were treated carbon nitrogen by plasma source ion implantation (PSII) method. composition structure layer analyzed compared that PVD coated TiN layer. It was found both friction coefficients decreased increase load, however, showed relatively lower coefficient than coating. effect investigated hardness, wear. gear a more serious phenomenon considered TiN, which...

The emergence of manufacturing related services (MRS) coincides with the revaluation manufacturing. We observed that manufacturing-focused countries overcame financial crisis which broke out in 2007 less difficulty than their service-focused counterparts. Manufacturing played a crucial role navigating economic problems such as unemployment, polarization and stagnant growth so on. Moreover, this pattern positive impacts from sector was European trying to boost economy. Germany,...

A study on adhesives for document mending was conducted by blending pulgasari(funori) with wheat starch paste. Pulgasari is usually used the ‘facing’ process in paper conservation. 7 types of samples, shinpul, gopul, pulgasari blended were prepared and applied Hanji their effect assessed quantified instrumental methods. Adding shown effective to lower artifact’s acidity increase document’s flexibility. Adhesive force viscosity degree greenness yellowness tended rise as ratio became higher....
