The influence of solid solution treatment on the microstructure and corrosion resistance as-cast Mg95.5Zn1.5Y3 alloy is characterized. mainly consisted α-Mg, W (Mg3Zn3Y2) phase, long period stacking ordered (LPSO) (Mg12ZnY) phase. After treatment, most phase disappears gradually with increasing time, only a small amount distributed as particle.
