ABSTRACT
Autophagy is a regulatory mechanism that packages damaged organelles, proteins, and pathogens to form vesicles transports lysosomes for degradation, enabling the recycle of useful components. Therefore, autophagy plays an important role in biological growth regulation homeostasis. In past two decades, growing evidence has shown microRNA (miRNA) closely related autophagy. MiRNA-21 promotes or inhibits via regulating relevant pathways different downstream target genes, tumors, ischemia-reperfusion injury, other diseases.
