ABSTRACT
Cynodon dactylon (Poacae) is a well known traditional plant used as folk remedy in treatment of many symptoms and diseases like cramps, measles, tumors, wounds, warts, fever rheumatic affections. In this study, the antimicrobial activity crude extract from three different extraction (hot cold aqueous extraction, methanol extraction) was investigated against some gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus cereus) negative (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae) using disc diffusion method. Amoxicillin was taken control. The diameter clear zone inhibition surrounding measured. had all test organisms indicating broad spectrum for both bacteria. No formed with extract. It can be concluded that whole may considered an antibacterial agent to source antibiotic substances possible bacterial infections. Keywords: dactylon, antimicrobial, extract,
