A simple, sensitive and precise UV spectrophotometric method was developed for the estimation of Nimodipine in tablet dosage form. Paracetamol, Diclofenac, Aceclofenac, Nimesulide, Ibuprofen and Rofecoxib belonging to the class of non-steroidal anti-infl ammatory drugs (NSAID’s) were tested for inhibitory role on nitrite-induced oxidation hemoglobin in vitro. Result indicates a promising aceclofenac signifi cant ibuprofen concentration range 0.25 mM each. Pro-oxidant activity was higher remaining test compounds viz., Nimesulide.
