A field trial of 100-Gbit/s Ethernet over an optical transport network (OTN) is conducted using a real-time digital coherent signal processor. Error free operation with the Q-margin 3.2 dB confirmed at 100 Gbit/s analyzer by concatenating low-density parity-check code OTN framer forward error correction, after 80-ch WDM transmission through 6 spans x 70 km dispersion shifted fiber without inline-dispersion compensation. Also, recovery time 12 msec observed in route switching experiment,...

Abstract We demonstrate a logic gate based on interference of forward volume spin waves (FVSWs) propagating in 54 nm thick, 100 μm wide yttrium iron garnet waveguide grown epitaxially substrate. Two FVSWs injected by coplanar waveguides were made to interfere constructively and destructively varying their phase difference, showing an XNOR function. The reflected resonant generated at the edges suppressed using wave absorbers. observed isolation ratio was 19 dB for magnetic field ~2.80 kOe (...

Magnetophotonic crystals (MPCs) comprising cerium-substituted yttrium iron garnet (CeYIG) sandwiched by two Bragg mirrors were fabricated vacuum annealing. CeYIG was deposited on at room temperature and annealed in 5 Pa of residual air. No ceria or other non-garnet phases detected. Cerium 3 + ions substituted the sites no cerium 4 found. The Faraday rotation angle MPC -2.92° a wavelength λ = 1570 nm 30 times larger than that film. These results showed good agreement with calculated values...

Discovering semantic knowledge is significant for understanding and interpreting how people interact in a meeting discussion. In this paper, we propose mining method to extract frequent patterns of human interaction based on the captured content face-to-face meetings. Human interactions, such as proposing an idea, giving comments, expressing positive opinion, indicate user intention toward topic or role flow discussion session represented tree. Tree-based algorithms are designed analyze...

Human interaction is one of the most important characteristics group social dynamics in meetings. In this paper, we propose an approach for capture, recognition, and visualization human interactions. Unlike physical interactions (e.g., turn-taking addressing), considered here are incorporated with semantics, i.e., user intention or attitude toward a topic. We adopt collaborative capturing by employing multiple sensors, such as video cameras, microphones, motion sensors. A multimodal method...

Many avian species demonstrate atherosclerosis and high blood pressure (BP) that are influenced by age, sex, diet, environment, but show no arteriosclerosis in small vessels. Thus, we aimed to define neural humoral control of BP conscious, 32-wk-old female chickens, Gallus gallus. Mean aortic (determined chronically implanted catheter) was 137.6 +/- 2.0 mm Hg; heart rate 295 4 beats/min. Plasma renin activity (PRA), measured radioimmunoassay fowl angiotensin I ([Asp1, Val5, Ser9]AI), plasma...

Multi-FPGA systems are widely used for rapid prototyping and logic verification of VLSIs. To implement a huge circuit in multi-FPGA system, the needs to be partitioned into multiple FPGAs. Because limited interconnection resources between FPGAs, time-multiplexed I/Os inter-FPGA connections. Due large delay I/Os, connections strongly affect system performance. In this paper, we extend an ILP-based optimization method improve Our uses both normal I/O I/O, decides whether each signal is...

Information about the concordance between dynamic emotional experiences and objective signals is practically useful. Previous studies have shown that valence dynamics can be estimated by recording electrical activity from muscles in brows cheeks. However, whether facial actions based on video data analyzed without electrodes used for sensing emotion remains unknown. We investigated this issue of participants' faces obtaining arousal ratings while they observed films. Action units (AUs) 04...
