Abstract A team effort to develop a Community Integrated Earth System Model (CIESM) was initiated in China 2012. The model based on NCAR (Version 1.2.1) with several novel developments and modifications aimed overcome some persistent systematic biases, such as the double Intertropical Convergence Zone problem underestimated marine boundary layer clouds. Aerosols' direct indirect effects are prescribed using MACv2‐SP approach data sets. spin‐up of 500‐year preindustrial simulation three...

A layer of Y 2 O 3 –Al , used as a sintering aid, was coated onto the surface Si N 4 particles by precipitation inorganic salts from water‐based solution containing Al(NO ) Y(NO and urea. The electrokinetic colloidal characteristics powder were changed significantly coating layer. As result, dispersion ‐coated greater than that original powder. Furthermore, prevented hydrogen‐gas‐discharging problem occurred during gelcasting because reaction between uncoated basic aqueous in suspension....

Abstract. In the Community Earth System Model (CESM), ocean model is computationally expensive for high-resolution grids and often least scalable component production experiments. The major bottleneck that barotropic solver scales poorly at high core counts. We design a new to accelerate simulation. novel adopts Chebyshev-type iterative method reduce global communication cost in conjunction with an effective block preconditioner further iterations. algorithm its computational complexity are...

Non-hydrostatic ocean models are widely required in coastal and estuarine studies but limited their application due to very high computational expense. To alleviate this issue, study developed a highly computationally efficient non-hydrostatic model named MERF v3.0 (the third version of the Marine Environment Research Forecasting model) which semi-implicit variable layers (SIVL) scheme is proposed for dynamic pressure calculation. The SIVL provides freedom choose ratio between number...

Plant oil asphalt (POA) is a new concerned lipid-based residue biomass generated from the oleochemical industry. In this work, pyrolysis kinetics of POA was studied by thermogravimetric analysis at heating rates 7, 10, 20, and 30 K min–1 under nitrogen atmosphere using distributed activation energy model (DAEM). The kinetic parameters, including E, distribution function f(E), pre-exponential factor k0, were obtained. E ranged 75 to 300 kJ mol–1, f(E) curve showed broad peak around 155–200...

Abstract. Rapidly evolving computational techniques are making a large gap between scientific aspiration and code implementation in climate modeling. In this work, we design simple computing library to bridge the decouple work of ocean modeling from parallel computing. This provides 12 basic operators that feature user-friendly interfaces, effective programming, implicit parallelism. Several state-of-the-art techniques, including graph just-in-time compiling, employed parallelize seemingly...

Plant oil asphalt (POA) is an underutilized lipid-based biomass residue mainly generated in the biodiesel industry. This work presents application of lumping strategy kinetic modeling vacuum pyrolysis POA a pilot-scale semi-batch reactor. Pyrolysis experiments were conducted under different reaction temperatures (410, 430, and 450 °C) times (10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 50, 60 min). The scheme was divided into five lumps, namely, feedstock lump four pyrolytic product lumps (including biogas, biochar,...

Hyperbolic model could be established to describe the degradation performance of Methylene Blue (MB) using UV/H 2 O process. The effects initial H dosage on MB removal, instant ▪OH concentration and reaction rate were investigated. results show that optimal is 13.24 mM after 50min removal around 85%. process followed hyperbolic which can calculate rate.
