The preparation and structural characteristics of nine air-stable binuclear zinc(II) carboxylate complexes together with 13 linear trinuclear general formula [Zn2M(carboxylate)6(base)2] where MII= Zn, Co, Ni, Cd, Mg, or Ca are reported. crystal structure the parent complex [Zn2(MeCHCHCO2)4(C9H7N)2](C9H7N = quinoline) has been determined. main feature interest is flexibility tetracarboxylate framework which can bridge across a wide range metal–metal distances (e.g. Zn ⋯ 2.976 Å in this complex).
Amino-functionalised polystyrene resins have been synthesised and used as well-defined supports for imidovanadium ethylene polymerisation catalysts; a dramatic enhancement in the lifetime productivity of supported catalysts compared to their unsupported (homogeneous) analogues is found.

The trinuclear complex [Zn3(MeCHCHCO2)6(C9H7N)2], prepared by the reaction of quinoline with ethanolic zinc(II) crotonate and studied X-ray crystallography, contains a linear array zinc atoms bridged crotonated ligands; two crotonates bridge through only one oxygen atom each.
XPS, ATR-FTIR, 19F MAS solid-state NMR, and imaging TOF−SIMS have been used to compare the depth extent of chemical modification achieved during nonisothermal CF4 plasma fluorination nonporous, mesoporous, microporous polystyrene spheres. It is shown that different depths functionalization can be by varying polymer pore architecture. This methodology offers scope for preparing functionalized supports also protecting moisture-sensitive catalysts handling in air.
Binuclear [Co2(RCO2)4L2] and trinuclear [Co3(RCO2)6L2] cobalt(II) carboxylate complexes have been prepared (R = unsaturated alkyl, L sterically hindered amine). The roles of electronic steric effects on the formation oligonuclear carboxylates are discussed. temperature dependence their antiferromagnetism shows variations as R altered.

The metathetical reaction between the lithium 1-azaallyl compound [{HMPA·LiN(H)C(t-Bu)CH2}2] (1) with zirconocene dichloride (2) results in formation of ketimide [Cp2Zr(Cl)NC(t-Bu)CH3] (3; Cp = cyclopentadienyl) and chloride. After it is transferred to transition metal, azaallyl ligand isomerizes a ketimido variation. An energetic preference 11.9 kcal mol-1 favor over its theoretical isomer was determined by ab initio molecular orbital calculations (at HF/LanL2DZ level). These studies,...
Defects induced in n-type silicon (Si) and gallium arsenide (GaAs) substrates by argon ion bombardment reactive etch beam reactors, respectively, have been studied for the first time using photothermal radiometry (PTR). A significant shift measured PTR signal amplitude has observed as a function of isochronal bias voltage variation (0–600 V) etching studies. The experimental results interpreted model radiometric response from layered semiconductor material. detection threshold effect dry...

Compared to conventional thermal and wet chemical methods, nonisothermal plasma treatment is found be a viable alternative for carrying out dehydroxylation of porous silica. Changes in hydroxyl population distribution within silica particles have been followed using solid state 1H NMR, temperature programmed desorption, optical emission spectroscopy.
The structural assignments of a number bicyclic alkaloids isolated from frogs have been reassigned or questioned after synthesis the proposed structures. Herein we report practical and short formal 5-alkylindolizidine core, readily available α-amino acids homoserine that could be utilized to support assignments.
Abstract Reaction of CoCO 3 (I) with the unsaturated acids (II) and heteroaromatic ligands (III) results in formation either binuclear cobalt complexes (IVa) or (IVb), trinuclear (V); on addition excess ligand (IIIa), complex (Va) is transformed to dinuclear (IVc).
Abstract Freshly prepared Zn hydroxide was refluxed with the appropriate carboxylic acid in water for 1 h. The carboxylate isolated quantitative yield.
