Anatase TiO2 microspheres with exposed mirror-like plane {001} facets were successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal process. The photoanode composed of microsphere top layer shows an improved DSSCs efficiency owing to the superior light scattering effect and excellent reflecting ability facets.

This work reports a facile hydrothermal approach to directly grow anatase TiO(2) crystals with exposed {001} facets on titanium foil substrate by controlling pH of HF solution. The mechanistic role for control growth the crystal facet has been investigated. results demonstrate that solution controls extent surface fluorination TiO(2), hence size, shape, morphology, and faceted area crystals. theoretical calculations reveal can merely occur via dissociative adsorption molecules under acidic...

Ultrasound waves have been widely used in the field of organic wastewater treatment due to their mechanical, thermal, and chemical effects derived from cavitation effect. Many researchers combined ultrasound with other methods because they potential offset disadvantages methods. In recent years, many authors within literature reviewed application a certain method. this review, we introduce working mechanism then examine synergistic based on various applications, indicating strong effect...

A TiO2/BDD heterojunction photoanode, utilizing the inherent properties of nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2) and boron-doped diamond (BDD), was prepared used to determine chemical oxygen demand (COD) in wastewaters. The TiO2 nanoparticles were dip-coated on a BDD substrate subject calcination processes. uniform, continuous robust mixed-phase (anatase rutile) electrode obtained. evaluated using series materials characterisation, electrical electrochemical techniques. preliminary results...

Titanium dioxide (TiO(2)) and boron-doped diamond (BDD) are two of the most popular functional materials in recent years. In this work, TiO(2) nanoparticles were immobilized onto BDD electrodes by a dip-coating technique. Continuous uniform mixed-phase (anatase rutile) pure-anatase TiO(2)/BDD obtained after calcination processes at 700 450 degrees C, respectively. The particle sizes both types film range from 20 to 30 nm. comparison with TiO(2)/indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode, electrode...

Membrane treatment technology has been one of the most effective methods to treat oily wastewater, however there is still little research on membrane coalescence. In this paper, self-developed coalescence device was applied explore behavior oil droplets surface and in pore lipophilic CPVC membrane, its mechanism clarified. The results indicated that best rate (130.6%) obtained at conditions size (2 µm) operating pressure (0.25 kPa) by wetting (adhesion-filming-release). higher (432.7%)...
