This paper formulates an integrated framework for deciding about the green supplier selection criteria in food supply chain and also proposes different methods that account single multiple sourcing of selection. Green relies on criteria, so determination suitable set will affect decision-maker results directly. In this research, operational model including combination general environmental is introduced raw material packaging industry. reviewed a literature help us to know make common...
Abstract An organization's environmental performance is affected by its suppliers' performance, and selecting green suppliers a strategic decision in order to be more competitive today's global market. By developing movement across the globe, organizations are under pressure reduce emissions their supply chain. Formerly food production systems was oriented optimized satisfy economic demands nutritional needs of rapidly growing world population. The industry requires large inputs resources...
The global increasing food demand can be met by efficient energy utilization in mechanized agricultural productions. In this study, input–output flow along with CO2 emissions for different wheat production cases (C-I to C-V) were investigated identify the one that is most energy-efficient and environment-friendly case. Data information about input output sources collected from farmers through questionnaires face-to-face interviews. Input converted into units equivalents while calculated...
Mechanization in the agriculture sector requires well-informed technology selection decisions and a balance of financial nonfinancial considerations. This article integrates sustainability technical considerations into farm machinery decisions. Using an industry case study-where for mechanization process is imperative-a multimethod decision-making framework developed to select best rice harvest machinery. For this purpose, Delphi method used systematically identify most relevant decision...
Abstract This study examined energy, greenhouse gas emission and ecological footprint analysis (EFA) of chickpea lentil cultivation with different mechanization production systems. In production, except for tillage operations, other operations are performed manually the remaining straw is burned in field; while most agricultural mechanized residues collected, baled transferred to warehouse animal feed. this paper, first time, some sustainability indicators investigated compared two legume...
Abstract This study examined the input energy, economic indices, and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in sunflower farm enterprises of Kermanshah province Iran. Different mechanization production systems involving traditional, semi‐mechanized, mechanized ones were statistically compared. Results revealed that farms consumed more total inputs while possessed significantly higher yield better indices. In which, human labor, diesel fuel, fertilizer most predominant GHG emissions. particular,...
This systematic review critically analyzes the literature on study of energy-use patterns in agricultural crop systems Iran. We examine relevant methodologies and research trends from 2008 to 2019, a particularly active productive period. Initially, we find researchers using energy audits regression modeling estimate patterns. Then economic environmental-emissions are more commonly incorporated into analyses. Finally, application different Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods observed...
Abstract This paper presents a novel approach to multi-criteria sustainability performance assessment of horticultural crops. The crops are ranked by the decision-making method ELECTRE IV with environmental, energy and technological criteria. In total eight indicators taken into consideration calculated based on primary data collected from over 260 farms in northern Iran. Additionally, Data Envelopment Analysis is used calculate technical efficiency potential for saving different management...
We present a meta-analysis of energy-consumption and environmental-emissions patterns in Iranian cropping systems using data collected from articles published between 2008 2018 for 21 different crops. The results show that the crops consuming most energy per hectare are tomato, sugarcane, cucumber alfalfa, while sunflower consumed least. average total input all Iran during study period was 48,029 MJ ha−1. Our analysis revealed potato has highest potential to reduce consumption electricity...
One of the key factors that contribute to proper growth and development agricultural mechanization is selection a sustainable combination machinery. This study aims evaluate select machinery for rice cultivation in specific region using hybrid decision-making AHP-fuzzy GRA methods. First, operation program related types applied were investigated. Then several sub-criteria selected process, three main criteria (economic, social, environmental) literature, chosen by Delphi scores weighted...
