Life tables of twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae), were studied on leaf discs and whole leaves the common bean plant, Phaseolus vulgaris L. Data analyzed based age-stage, two-sex life table theory. Durations deutonymph stage, total preadult preoviposition period mites reared (1.22, 7.6, 0.29 d, respectively) significantly shorter than those (1.73, 8.2, 0.89 respectively). The lifetime fecundities 22.81 12.05 offspring discs, respectively. Although hooked...

Entomopathogenic fungi can be useful tools for controlling insect pests and are usually compatible with other biologically-based tactics in integrated pest management programs (Gurulingappa et al., 2011).One of the most effective entomopathogens against A. gossypii is Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin (Ascomycota: Hypocreales) (Loureiro & Moino, 2006).This entomopathogen also colonize plants proliferate as an endophyte (Klieber Reineke, 2015;McKinnon 2018).Endophytic occur ubiquitously...

Photodegradable and biocompatible nano-indoxacarb was prepared successfully by encapsulation of indoxacarb with poly(citric acid)–poly(ethylene glycol)–poly(citric acid) (PCA–PEG–PCA) ABA type linear-dendritic copolymers both (nano-IND/TiO2) without (nano-IND) TiO2 nanoparticles via supramolecular interactions. Preparation formulae confirmed using spectroscopy microscopy analyses. TEM images showed small particles average sizes 10 nm for nano-IND 12 nano-IND/TiO2. Interestingly, the rate...

Introduction Fipronil (FIP) and thiobencarb (THIO) represent widely utilized pesticides in paddy fields, presenting environmental challenges that necessitate effective remediation approaches. Despite the recognized need, exploring bacterial consortia efficiently degrading FIP THIO remains limited. Methods This study isolated three unique consortia—FD, TD, MD—demonstrating capability to degrade FIP, THIO, an + mixture within a 10-day timeframe. Furthermore, bioaugmentation abilities of...

Abstract The essential oil from Teucrium polium was evaluated for its adverse effects on larval instars of Musca domestica . blended with a diet at concentration that produced 50% mortality subjected insects (LC 50 ) (80 ppm). To learn about the situation digestive enzymes M. treated oil, third were dissected under non‐active enzyme conditions and their midguts removed. supernatant used as an source after homogenization centrifugation homogenates. Results revealed some main in midgut...

Effects of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana were studied on life table parameters two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae feeding bean and cucumber under laboratory conditions. The developmental periods for all immature stages not affected by fungal infection each host plant but duration larval stage was significantly longer bean. female male longevity, oviposition period fecundity lower fungus-treated mites different between two plants. Significant reductions found...

Essential oils are composed of volatile components, and rapidly evaporate. It is desirable to formulate them in a cover protecting the essential against environmental conditions. Applying nanotechnology preparing formulations can be provided along with controlled release, increased oil life greater mobility. In this study, nanoparticles were prepared using polycaprolactone chitosan aimed at encapsulation Rosmarinus officinalis Zataria multiflora oils. The characterized terms size,...

Abstract Resistance mechanisms to fenazaquin were surveyed in Iranian populations of the two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch. The bioassay was carried out on four populations, collected from Isfahan, Yazd and Rasht using leaf-dip method. results showed that resistance ratios 3109-, 439.5- 10.53-fold, respectively, compared with susceptible population. Enzyme assays revealed esterase activities 3.9-, 1.8- 1.5-fold higher than population, when α-naphthyl acetate used as...
