A central tenet in understanding the biological effects of ionizing radiation has been that initially affected cells were directly damaged by radiation. By contrast, evidence emerged concerning “bystander” responses involving damage to nearby not themselves traversed These long-range are interest both mechanistically and for assessing risks from low-dose exposures, where only a small proportion hit. Bystander have observed largely using single-cell vitro systems do realistic multicellular...

Summary Background and aims Extra‐intestinal manifestations (EIMs) are a common complication of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), affecting up to half the patients. Despite their high prevalence, information on standardised definitions, diagnostic strategies, treatment targets is limited. Methods As starting point for national EIM study network, an interdisciplinary expert panel 12 gastroenterologists, 4 rheumatologists, 3 ophthalmologists, 6 dermatologists, patient representatives was...
To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements by Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT), disposable prism, ICare, and Tonopen.A total of 74 patients with varying glaucoma status were examined in our outpatient clinic IOP was measured 3 tonometers. The Tonojet prism (dGAT), Tonopen XL, ICare ic100 compared the GAT.There good intraclass correlation coefficients between GAT dGAT (0.95), (0.83), (0.77), all P<0.001. mean differences 0.80 mm Hg; 95% limits agreement: -3.35 to 4.96 Hg. For GAT:...
A 70-year-old man with a medical history of metastatic renal carcinoid tumor presented several months painless proptosis the OS. The patient was receiving octreotide and everolimus chemotherapy. MRI revealed well-circumscribed mass in left lateral rectus muscle consistent metastasis. Because asymptomatic, he observed maintained stable amount without diplopia or change vision.
Abstract Background Acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) is a rare presumed inflammatory chorioretinopathy characterized by creamy, yellow-white lesions at the level of retinal epithelium (RPE). Unilateral cases often have fellow eye involvement within days to few weeks. This report details case delayed contralateral APMPPE, in which unilateral lesion resolution was followed 31 months later. Case presentation A 38-year-old woman presented with three blurry...
In today’s ever-changing environment of international trade and investments, each economy has been aiming towards attracting higher investments enhancing exports. This makes it evident to investigate analyze the relationship between Foreign Direct Investment Growth in terms output industry economy. A number studies have conducted for analyzing impact FDI on aggregate with only a few wise analysis. paper aims at assessing other level. The is examined through Panel co-integration test followed...
A 40-year-old male presented with 2 weeks of left facial pain, nasal congestion, dysphonia, and epistaxis along left-sided epiphora. CT showed a large infiltrative mass centered in the maxillary sinus extension into orbit, bilateral paranasal sinuses, cavity, enlarged cervical lymph nodes. Biopsy results confirmed adult alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS). Systemic workup node metastasis. Currently patient is undergoing chemotherapy. We describe rare case RMS orbital invasion.
We report two cases of fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) inhibitor-associated retinopathy, including the first case Debio 1347 associated retinopathy manifesting with bilateral serous retinal detachments along superotemporal arcades and a erdafitinib classic foveal detachments. Both demonstrate clear dose-dependent reversible class effect likely secondary to downstream effects FGFR inhibition on MEK pathway, resulting in pigment epithelial cell dysfunction, may also involve additional...
Though rare, acute macular neuroretinopathy is a well-described clinical entity. We report for the first time detailed analysis of hyalocyte count and morphology during phase neuroretinopathy. present case 19-year-old man with bilateral onset paracentral scotomas in setting an antecedent viral infection. Multimodal imaging demonstrated classic features Further revealed increased activated disease course. not only allows greater confidence diagnosis prognosis but also helps to shed light on...

Purpose: To describe a patient with Marfan syndrome and crystalline lens luxation who developed phacolytic glaucoma polychromatic crystals in the anterior chamber vitreous. Methods: We present retrospective case report. Results: A 58-year-old man since childhood presented 2 days of pain left eye. The visual acuity was 20/30 OS an aphakic contact lens, intraocular pressure (IOP) 31 mm Hg. Polychromatic were evident retina attached. Despite medical treatment, IOP remained elevated; therefore,...
