To meet hospital preparedness for the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, Centers Disease Control and Prevention ACR recommended delay of all nonemergent tests elective procedures. The purpose this article is to report our experience rescheduling imaging procedures during pandemic at tertiary academic institution.

Nephroureteral stents including antegrade, retrograde, or internal (double-J) are routinely placed by interventional radiologists. The purpose of this review is to provide a detailed and comprehensive description indications, contraindications, technique, various technical challenges these procedures. Also pre- postprocedure management patients will be discussed routine follow-up dealing with potential complications.

Background . Metastatic uveal melanoma (MUM) is associated with a poor prognosis, median overall survival (OS) of 4–15 months. Despite new insights into the genetic and molecular background MUM, satisfactory systemic treatment approaches are currently lacking. The study results innovative strategies urgently needed. Patients Methods This was retrospective case series 8 patients MUM managed at University Cincinnati between January 2015 2018. immune-related Response Evaluation Criteria in...

Metastatic prognosis in uveal melanoma is assessed by gene expression profiling (GEP) testing of the tumor cells, usually obtained fine needle aspiration (FNA). GEP has demonstrated high accuracy distinguishing class I and II tumors, both having different metastatic potential. Transcriptomic studies identified distinct mutations including somatic GNAQ GNA11 , detected more than 80%, contribute to upregulation mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway development (UM). The role these...

Rationale and ObjectivesFollowing state institutional guidelines, our Radiology department launched the "Recover Wisely" for all nonurgent radiology care on May 4, 2020. Our objective is to report practice implementation experience of COVID-19 recovery during resumption routine imaging at a tertiary academic medical center.Materials MethodsWe used SQUIRE 2.0 guidelines this implementation. Recover Wisely focused data driven, strategic rescheduling redesigning patient flow process. We...

Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is considered the standard of care in patients with emergent variceal bleeding. TIPS procedures can be complicated by difficult anatomy, supply access, and operator experience which result prolonged procedure times. Percutaneous transhepatic embolization (PTVE) may cases or when there a contraindication for TIPS. This study designed to compare technical success, rebleeding, survival rate PTVE versus TIPs controlling In this single-center...

Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is considered the standard of care to treat patients with refractory sequala cirrhosis and portal hypertension. Getting access into vein often most critical part procedure accounting for radiation dose. Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) can provide real-time visualization hepatic anatomy, potentially reducing (PV) time. The purpose this study compare time get PV dose between IVUS-guided (iTIPS) conventional TIPS (cTIPS). In single-center...

The risk not retrieving embolus and subsequent pulmonary circulation includes artery thrombosis, bleeding, or abscess formation. was retrieved through internal jugular access; assisted by percutaneous transhepatic repositioning endovascular balloon-immobilization bullet. balloon served "isolate" within...

Patients MUM have low response rates to traditional treatment options and are routinely excluded from clinical trials. Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD), or sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy, is a rare non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis. We report case of 69-year-old male concurrent appendiceal and rectal masses who underwent CT-guided percutaneous biopsy. Histopathology confirmed diagnosis RDD IgG4-positive plasma cells. It believed to be subset that shares similar features IgG4-related suggesting some overlap the two diseases. Because gastrointestinal accounts for less than 1% extranodal disease,...

In a pilot clinical study, patients underwent standard-of-care percutaneous microwave ablation (MWA) of liver tumors with monitoring by three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound echo decorrelation imaging. An MWA needle (Amica) was inserted into each tumor, guided x-ray computed tomography (CT) and A matrix array (4Z1c Acuson SC2000 scanner, Siemens) positioned on patients’ skin near the insertion point. Paired sequential complex in-phase/quadrature (IQ) volumes (inter-frame time 5–20 ms) were...
