By combining the reflection‐absorption infrared spectral studies with peak fitting analysis we determined type of silicon oxides present in polydimethylsiloxane layers obtained on germanium and aluminium substrates corona discharges. We have also evidenced that dependence density discharge current intensity is related to existence a concurrent anodizing process occurring at polymer/Al substrate interface.
