In this paper, we investigate the topic of gender identification for short length, multi-genre, content-free e-mails. We introduce first time (to our knowledge), psycholinguistic and gender-linked cues problem, along with traditional stylometric features. Decision tree support vector machines learning algorithms are used to identify author a given e-mail. The experiment results show that approach is promising an average accuracy 82.2%.
This paper investigated the class characteristics in English handwriting of Chinese, Malays and Indians Singapore, many whom learned their native language as a second language.
